There are two main reasons why the cruise control on an XJS does not work – either the bellows need resealing or the electronic module has failed. If, after activating the cruise control switch, the engine speed slows or speeds up, then you have a problematic module! This module has been repaired and calibrated for us by KWE Consultancy.
Recently removed by myself from my Mercedes SL R129 300SL-24 valve fitted with the M104 engine and in excellent condition as seen in the photographs. I personally removed this from the car immediately after a 230 mile run and it performed flawlessly. Because this is such a fragile electronic component and because I have taken all possible steps to prove that it is in perfect working order, I will not accept any claims or return requests.
